Volleyball Recap: Queen Creek Takes a Loss

Queen Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Highland Hawks, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-16.

Brock Harris paced Queen Creek's offense, picking up six kills. Harris got some help from Lukas DeWitt and his 14 assists. DeWitt was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Queen Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen Creek will take on Hamilton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland, they will face off against Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
