Baseball Recap: Clear Brook Comes Up Short

Clear Brook lost to Barbers Hill back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolverines took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Max Chagoya was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Ryan Benavides was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Clear Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Barbers Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Clear Brook will square off against Oak Ridge at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Barbers Hill will be paying especially close attention to the Wolverines' matchup: after the Wolverines face off against the War Eagles, they'll take on Barbers Hill again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
