Basketball Recap: Marysville Comes Up Short

Marysville lost against Fraser back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Marysville Vikings took a 45-28 bruising from the Fraser Ramblers. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Ramblers are ranked 165th).

This is the second loss in a row for Marysville and nudges their season record down to 6-12. As for Fraser, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marysville will host Sterling Heights Stevenson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fraser, they will challenge Port Huron Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Fraser has won six straight at home, while Port Huron Northern won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
