Softball Recap: St. Henry Comes Up Short

St. Henry was the 10-7 winner over Eaton when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Redskins fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-7 on Saturday.

Kennedy Wendel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Lefeld, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

St. Henry's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Eaton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, St. Henry will square off against Jay County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Redskins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Eaton, they will face off against Tri-County North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
