Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

Ridgeview suffered their closest loss since April 2, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Keystone Heights Indians by a score of 8-6. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Gabe Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Clayton Gulbrand also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Ridgeview's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Keystone Heights, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will face off against South Paulding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Keystone Heights, they will square off against Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
