Basketball Recap: Lawrence Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Faith Christian + How To Watch

Lawrence Academy had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 55-48 to the Faith Christian Patriots. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lawrence Academy had strong showings from Winston Warren, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 18 points and four steals, and Carter Hoggard, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. Hoggard is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Oliver, who posted seven points.

The victory keeps Faith Christian at an undefeated 4-0.

Lawrence Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-26 win against Halifax Academy on the 21st. As for Faith Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 66-49 victory against Arendell Parrott Academy on the 20th.
