Football Recap: Santiago Sharks vs. Roosevelt Mustangs
Santiago lost against Roosevelt back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sharks fell 35-26 to the Mustangs. The loss was the Sharks' first of the season.
Even if they lost, Santiago's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Caleb Joh with 2.5. Floyd Watson III was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making five total tackles, and defending four passes in addition to snagging an interception.
Blake Nadler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Roosevelt, throwing for 340 yards and four TDs. Shawn Leon did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 67 receiving yards.
