Baseball Recap: Kimberly Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kimberly waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Teton Timberwolves a 6-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Jeremiah Bybee, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. MaCraye Bruning also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Kimberly hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Teton struck out 19 times.

Kimberly pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Teton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Kimberly will look to defend their home field on Saturday against South Fremont at 4:45 p.m. As for Teton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Filer at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
