Meanwhile, Bridge City's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Thursday. They fell just short of Port Arthur Memorial by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Cardinals' undefeated start to the season.

The win made it two in a row for Porter and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Bridge City, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
