Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Century's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Century unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owatonna Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 back in April.

Aiden Yochim made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Century is 4-1 when Yochim posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Carter Simonson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Owatonna, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Century is set to face off against their familiar foe John Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Owatonna will square off against rival Mankato West at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
