Soccer Game Preview: DSST: Montview vs. Eagle Ridge Academy

The DSST: Montview Knights will challenge the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in DSST: Montview's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Eagle Ridge Academy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

DSST: Montview will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against DMLK on Thursday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for DSST: Montview, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 7-0 to Prospect Ridge Academy. While losing is never fun, Eagle Ridge Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Prospect Ridge Academy are ranked seventh).

Eagle Ridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for DSST: Montview, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-2.
