Volleyball Recap: Evant Takes a Loss

Evant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Oglesby Tigers, falling 3-0. The Elks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-6, 25-6.

Evant's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Oglesby, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Evant is set to take on their familiar foe Lometa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oglesby will square off against rival Jonesboro at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
