Basketball Recap: DeRidder Comes Up Short

DeRidder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Leesville Wampus Cats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-42 last Friday.

DeRidder's loss dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Leesville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeRidder will host Iowa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leesville has already played their next game (against Washington-Marion), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
