L.C. Bird had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They really took it to the Clover Hill Cavaliers for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-23 victory. Given the Skyhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead L.C. Bird to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamari Simon, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. What's more, Simon also posted a 73% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2023. Sasha Hodge was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight steals and six assists.

L.C. Bird pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Clover Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

L.C. Bird wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-50 victory against Cosby on the 18th. As for Clover Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-37 defeat against James River Midlothian on the 18th.
