Soccer Game Preview: Antelope vs. Grant

The Antelope Titans will venture away from home to face off against the Grant Pacers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Last Thursday, Antelope sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Kennedy.

MeYoune Bayless and Ty Hunter scored both of Antelope's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Grant's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged West Park out 2-1. Given the Pacers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Panthers are ranked 735th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grant's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-3-1. As for Antelope, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-3.

Antelope skirted past Grant 1-0 in their previous meeting on January 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Antelope since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
