Softball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Find Success

Canyon Crest Academy won the last time they faced Mayfield and things went their way on Friday too. The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens walked away with a 7-3 win over the Mayfield Cubs.

The team relied heavily on Alexis McNamee, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Okerberg, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Canyon Crest Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got Canyon Crest Academy back to even at 3-3-1. As for Mayfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-3-1.

Looking ahead, Canyon Crest Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Bishop's at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Mayfield, they will square off against Mission Bay at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
