Basketball Recap: Boerne-Champion Takes a Loss

Boerne-Champion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 61-36 to the Pieper Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-33 back in December of 2024.

Arianna Davis was nothing short of spectacular for Pieper: she went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Alisha Peavy, who posted ten points.

Boerne-Champion's loss dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Pieper, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Boerne-Champion will square off against New Braunfels at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Braunfels has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pieper, they will face off against Alamo Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pieper is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
