Issaquah is 2-8 against Mount Si since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Issaquah will head out to challenge Mount Si at 6:30 p.m. Issaquah's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Mount Si's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Issaquah is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Newport - Bellevue by a score of 8-3 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Tyler Miller
Tyler Miller looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Issaquah is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.
At the plate, Luke Farmer was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Garrett Sourwine was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Issaquah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newport - Bellevue only posted an OBP of .303.
Meanwhile, Mount Si faced Eastlake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Mount Si narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Eastlake 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Drew Hossfeld looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eddie Coons, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Preston Przybylski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
The win got Issaquah back to even at 3-3. As for Mount Si, their record now sits at 4-2-1.
Issaquah came up short against Mount Si in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 6-2. Can Issaquah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
