Hickory waltzed into their match on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Enka Jets.

Hickory easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18.

Emmi Gambill paced Hickory's offense, picking up nine kills. Gambill got some help from Ryan Hines and her ten assists. Gambill was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hickory's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Enka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Hickory didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Brevard on the 20th. As for Enka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ashe County on the 20th.
