Softball Recap: Livonia Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Livonia waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Port Allen Pelicans 18-3. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Livonia pushed their record up to 9-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Port Allen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Livonia will head out to face off against Slaughter Community Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Port Allen, they are taking a road trip to take on Dunham at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
