Basketball Recap: George County Extends Winning Streak to Four

George County extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 5-2. They walked away with a 68-59 win over the Stone Tomcats. While the Rebels didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

As for Stone, they now have a losing record of 2-3. Tomcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against George County since Saturday.

Despite the loss, Stone still got an impressive performance from Jabari Moye, who shot 50% from the field en route to 42 points. Moye has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Randen Howze also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. George County will venture away from home to square off against Gautier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stone, they will square off against Collins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
