Football Preview: East Limestone Indians vs. Fairview Aggies        
        
		
             The East Limestone Indians will head out to  challenge the Fairview Aggies  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The  teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: East Limestone has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Fairview will arrive with seven straight  wins.
 Last Friday, East Limestone ended up a good deal behind Ardmore and lost  42-24.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Adrian Villa, who rushed for 55 yards and three touchdowns. Another signal caller making a difference was  Jake Cochran, who threw for 210 yards  on 16 of 27 attempts.
 Even if they lost, East Limestone's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was  Spencer Williams with  two. East Limestone got some further help from  Xavier Donald: he made 16 total tackles (2.5 for loss).
 Meanwhile,  everything went Fairview's way against Sardis on Friday as Fairview made off with  a  38-18 victory. With the Aggies ahead  28-6 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
  Jake Harper continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 251 yards on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 121  rushing yards dating back to last season. Backing up that air attack was  Carson Jones, who rushed for 107 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Fairview was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 387  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 261  rushing yards in seven consecutive  contests.
 East Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Fairview, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-0.
 Friday's   match might be decided in the on the ground. East Limestone has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 147.6  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Fairview struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 332.9. It's looking like  Friday's  matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
 East Limestone was taken down by Fairview 56-21 in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023. Can East Limestone avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
