Football Recap: Riverview Comes Up Short

Riverview fell victim to Robinson and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Knights are ranked fourth).

Haidyn Spano produced another solid performance throwing for 214 yards and seven touchdowns, while also rushing for 42 yards for Robinson. Spano has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played. Sarah Williams was in the mix too, providing Robinson with three TDs.

Riverview is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11. As for Robinson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Riverview will challenge Wharton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Sharks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Robinson, they have already played their next matchup, a 21-20 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 5th.
