Basketball Game Preview: Lasara Lions vs. McMullen County Cowboys

Lasara hasn't had much luck against McMullen County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lasara Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the McMullen County Cowboys at 6:30 p.m.

Lasara lost 59-39 to San Perlita on Friday.

Meanwhile, McMullen County entered their tilt with Pawnee on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past Pawnee, posting an 80-18 victory. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Lasara better keep an eye on Brandon Timms. He was instrumental in McMullen County's win, going 10 for 16 on his way to 23 points. The game was Timms' third in a row with at least ten points.

McMullen County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Lasara, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Lasara might still be hurting after the 53-30 loss they got from McMullen County in their previous meeting on January 3rd.
