While Largo's victory against Canterbury wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Packers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 win over the Crusaders on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Packers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Paige Sofge was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Natalie Jackson, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.

Largo's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Canterbury, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Looking ahead, Largo will challenge Palatka at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Canterbury, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Osceola at 9:00 a.m. The Crusaders' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Kowboys have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
