Baseball Recap: Middlesex Comes Up Short

Middlesex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Belmont Hill Hillies, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Middlesex of the 7-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Middlesex's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Belmont Hill, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middlesex will take on rival Milton Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Belmont Hill is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Mark's at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hillies 3.1, the Lions 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
