Football Preview: Wilson Tigers vs. Crestwood Knights
The Wilson Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Crestwood Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Wilson is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hartsville just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Foxes. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.
Meanwhile, Crestwood earned a 27-14 win over Lower Richland on Friday.
Wilson better keep an eye on Calvin Wofford. He was instrumental in Crestwood's win, rushing for 125 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. They are undefeated when Wofford posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Crestwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lower Richland only rushed for 132.
Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Crestwood, their record is now an identical 4-2.
