Johnson-Brock lost to Bruning-Davenport/Shickley back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. Johnson-Brock came out on top against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Johnson-Brock.

Johnson-Brock found their leader in sophomore Isabell Bishop, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Despite the loss, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emma Hoins had ten digs and one assist. Hoins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Luke Elting also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Johnson-Brock's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Johnson-Brock will take on Freeman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Nebraska Lutheran on the 23rd.
