Football Preview: Somerset Eagles vs. Bedford Bisons        
        
		
             Two dominant  backs in  Camden Lowery and  Quincy Swaim are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Somerset Eagles will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Bedford Bisons  at 7:00  p.m.
 Last Friday, Somerset lost to Richland at home  by a   31-12 margin. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost five in a row.
  Lane Lambert put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  rushing yards.
 Even though they lost, Somerset was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 207  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Bedford, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They skirted past Forest Hills  16-13.
 Swaim was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 127 yards and a touchdown. Bedford also relied on  Swaim, who's 45-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.  Andrew Evans made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 Bedford's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Evans and  Grey Livengood.
 Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bedford, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
 Somerset might still be hurting after the  28-7 loss they got from Bedford  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of   Swaim, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
