Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Scorpions vs. Kern Valley Broncs + How To Watch

Desert hasn't had much luck against Kern Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Scorpions will square off against the Broncs at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Desert has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Desert didn't have quite enough to beat California City and fell 3-2. While the Scorpions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Ravens 25-19 in the first set.

Desert started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 22-25, 25-10, 25-19, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Kern Valley can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They blew past Boron 3-0. The Broncs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0).

While Kern Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-9, 25-9.

Kern Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-12-1. As for Desert, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Desert might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Kern Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Scorpions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
