Softball Recap: Skowhegan Takes a Loss

Skowhegan was the 8-0 winner over Hampden when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The River Hawks fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the River Hawks have lost by just one run.

Skowhegan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Hampden, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Skowhegan is set to challenge their familiar foe Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hampden will face off against rival Bangor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
