Game to watch: The season opener at home against No. 4 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), Aug. 27.

Briefly: Gibbs (6-foot-2, 204) has 33 offers, but Georgia and Tennessee are considered his front runners. … A half-dozen others are featured on recruiting lists. … New coach Herron is a proven winner with four state titles between Camden County and Oconee County. … His last stop was at Prince Avenue Christian, where he planned to stay, "but this was an opportunity I couldn't pass up."
