Soccer Recap: Sunnyside Comes Up Short

Sunnyside was the 6-1 winner over Ironwood Ridge when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Nighthawks by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Michael Montesino and Pedro Vega scored both of Sunnyside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Sunnyside's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Sunnyside will take on Tucson High Magnet School in a tournament on Thursday. As for Ironwood Ridge, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Flowing Wells at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
