Volleyball Game Preview: Skyview Wolverines vs. Battle Mountain Huskies + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Skyview Wolverines and the Battle Mountain Huskies will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Skyview will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Skyview made easy work of Gateway and carried off a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

Maya Esqueda was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 assists and four digs. Those 16 assists gave her a new career-high.

Skyview was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 20 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, in Saturday's Canine Competition, Battle Mountain prevailed. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Palisade on Saturday.

Skyview better focus on containing Sky Gwin and Evie Steinberg as the pair were huge in Battle Mountain's win. Gwin had 12 digs and two aces, while Steinberg had nine digs and two aces. Gwin is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Skyview's record now sits at 16-6. As for Battle Mountain, their record is now 19-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Skyview has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.1 aces per game.
