Basketball Game Preview: Prince George Royals vs. Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines

The Prince George Royals will head out on the road to challenge the Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Prince George is looking for their season's first victory.

Last Tuesday, Prince George came up short against Meadowbrook and fell 56-47. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Monarchs are ranked 136th).

Meanwhile, Carver College and Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 54-37 bruising from King William.

Prince George's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Carver College and Career Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Prince George came up short against Carver College and Career Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 81-69. Can Prince George avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
