Volleyball Game Preview: West Adams Panthers vs. Diego Rivera Huskies

West Adams is 0-6 against Diego Rivera since March of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The West Adams Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Diego Rivera Huskies at 4:30 p.m. The last three games West Adams has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, West Adams didn't have quite enough to beat Math & Science College Preparatory and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Diego Rivera was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Los Angeles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Diego Rivera started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Diego Rivera now has a losing record of 6-7. As for West Adams, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

West Adams might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Diego Rivera in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can West Adams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
