Basketball Game Preview: Kentwood Conquerors vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

The Kentwood Conquerors will challenge the Glacier Peak Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Kentwood is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against Tahoma as Kentwood made off with a 90-65 win. The Conquerors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Glacier Peak entered their tilt with Arlington on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 57-44. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Eagles are ranked 25th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glacier Peak pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Kentwood, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Kentwood didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Glacier Peak when the teams last played back in December of 2021, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory. Does Kentwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glacier Peak turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
