Baseball Recap: Foster Drops Season-High Score on Klein

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Foster). They blew past the Klein Bearkats 13-6 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their one-run performance the match before.

Evan Arredondo looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Foster is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Hunter Maddox was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up three RBI, which were his first of the season. Gunnar Maas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Foster's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Klein, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2-1.

Foster and Klein's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Foster and Klein Forest (who has only given up 3.5 runs per game) will meet at 11:20 a.m. on Friday. Similarly, Klein will take on Jersey Village at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, a team that's only allowed four runs per game.
