Softball Recap: Ursuline Academy Has No Trouble Against Willow

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against De La Salle, Ursuline Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past Willow 20-5. Considering Ursuline Academy has won four contests by more than 14 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ursuline Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. Willow is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Ursuline Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 loss against Central Lafourche on the 21st. As for Willow, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Willow Lions challenge East St. John Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. East St. John has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.79 runs per game on average), something Willow will no doubt try to take advantage of.
