Soccer Recap: Terrell Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Terrell duked it out with Midlothian Heritage on Tuesday. The Terrell Tigers came up short against the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 377th, while the Jaguars are ranked 127th).

Terrell has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-2 record this season. As for Midlothian Heritage, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terrell will welcome Red Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Red Oak has four straight victories, Terrell has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch. As for Midlothian Heritage, they will be playing at home against Midlothian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Midlothian Heritage will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
