Basketball Recap: LaGrange Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southern Christian on Tuesday, LaGrange Academy came back down to earth. LaGrange Academy took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Springs Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Rock Springs Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-38 back in November.

Rock Springs Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Jason Bates, who posted 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Josh Warren was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and six boards.

LaGrange Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, LaGrange Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookstone at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-31 win against Konos Academy on the 5th.
