Recap: Falcon Falcons vs. Conifer Lobos

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valor Christian, the Falcon Falcons were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 85-43 victory over Conifer. With Falcon ahead 49-24 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falcon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eric Graham, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The game was Graham's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Cox, who scored 17 points.

When it comes to explaining why Conifer lost, one person who can't be blamed is Benson White. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Jordan Zitkus was another key contributor, scoring five points.

Even though they lost, Conifer were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Falcon only racked up 21 assists.

Falcon now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Conifer, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Falcon and Vista Ridge will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Vista Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Saturday. As for Conifer, they will be playing at home against Aspen at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aspen presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Conifer in Colorado (Aspen is ranked 47th, while Conifer is ranked 256th).
