Volleyball Recap: Emporia Comes Up Short

Emporia lost against Maize South back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Emporia Spartans fell 2-0 to the Maize South Mavericks. Maize South was led to victory by Alyvia Herbig and Kendyll Nash. Herbig had nine digs and two aces, while Nash had five digs.

Emporia's defeat dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Maize South, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-13 record this season.
