Baseball Recap: Lena-Winslow Has No Trouble Against Amboy

Lena-Winslow had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Amboy on Saturday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Clippers. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now won five in a row.

Maverick Cass made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Wild, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Luke Madigan was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lena-Winslow pushed their record up to 11-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Amboy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
