Basketball Recap: Bellows Free Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bellows Free Academy can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 50-49 to the Essex Hornets. The Bobwhites/Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 39-32.

Bellows Free Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Essex, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.

Coming up, Bellows Free Academy will challenge Rice Memorial at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bellows Free Academy is facing Rice Memorial at the right time seeing as Rice Memorial is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Essex, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Johnsbury Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
