Scottsdale Christian Academy has gone 7-1 against Camp Verde recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Cowboys at 3:45 p.m. Scottsdale Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Camp Verde will be up against a hot Scottsdale Christian Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Eagles came out on top against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy by a score of 6-2 on Wednesday.

Dylan Tims made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Scottsdale Christian Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Tims was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on David Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Trevor Green was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camp Verde). They blew past Red Rock 20-2 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won five in a row.
Like Scottsdale Christian Academy, Camp Verde also got a great game from a two-way player: Tyler Georgia. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Georgia was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Joey Munoz and Gunner Selting did most of the damage at the plate: Munoz scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Selting scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Selting is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gage Selting, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Camp Verde kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Camp Verde picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Scottsdale Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. However, it's not like Camp Verde struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
