Basketball Game Preview: Winneconne Wolves vs. North Fond du Lac Orioles

The Winneconne Wolves will square off against the North Fond du Lac Orioles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winneconne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully North Fond du Lac likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Winneconne came up short against St. Mary Catholic and fell 80-68.

Meanwhile, North Fond du Lac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against St. Mary's Springs, falling 77-33. While losing is never fun, the Orioles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Ledgers are ranked 186th).

Winneconne has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for North Fond du Lac, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
