Softball Recap: Gateway Takes a Loss

Gateway fell victim to DeSoto County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-0. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Jasmine Manzano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double.

Gateway's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for DeSoto County, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Gateway will take on Moore Haven at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for DeSoto County, they will challenge Ida Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
