Marina is 9-1 against Pajaro Valley since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mariners will take on the Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. Marina has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marina fell victim to Greenfield and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 25-0 to the Bruins. Considering the last time the Mariners couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Pajaro Valley came up short against Carmel on Friday, falling 25-4. That's two games in a row now that the Grizzlies have lost by exactly 21 runs.

Elena Barron made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Angie Torres was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Marina and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Pajaro Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything went Marina's way against Pajaro Valley in their previous matchup back in April, as Marina made off with a 20-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mariners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
