Soccer Recap: Charlottesville Triumphs

Charlottesville proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rocktown Raptors, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Charlottesville were the better team in the second half.

Amin Zakari and Thimson Duolo scored both of Charlottesville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Charlottesville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rocktown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Charlottesville wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Orange County on the 25th. As for Rocktown, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Broadway at 7:00 p.m. on April 8.
